Radhuni again...

Well a small and select group this month...so we went back to an old favourite... the Radhuni and let the waiters choose our meal...which worked well...food excellent, company good too and a jolly time was had by all....

This just served to reaffirm how good this curry house really is....

Henley here we come!

Well guys I think we need to go further afield. . .Henley has a few offerings which we need to explore. . . Cafe Raj looks the most entertaining opportunity. Any problems with getting over there?

Top Ten

I have cut down the posts recently so here are the top ten curry houses as they currently stand...

1. The Last Visceroy
2. Rhadhuni
3. Papaya
4. Maliks (Gerrard Cross)
5. Charles (Cote) Cottage
6. Ponchandras
7. Jumanja
8. The Empreror of India
9. Little India
10. Three Peppers
11. Tiger Club

and counting...

Charles(Cote) Cottage

Good night was had last Friday with 7 regulars... and the curry shop rounding up a good 8.5 out of ten.... Which made me think I should really set out the top 10 curry shops according to the vote.... in recent weeks and months...

This place is tiny, new and has great food...Persion stuff as well as the normal stuff... But to be honest most of the chat was about the Chmapions League final...we all can't wait to watch Ian and Gavin sitting in their Moscow holding cell...!

Few Problem with Posts...

Well sadly we had a few problems with posts on the Curry Club Blog recently - the only way I seem to be able to solve it is to take down the last 3 posts... so hopefully 2008 is gonna be better...
We did get together in December, a small and select group but nonetheless fun... We only went back to the Last Viceroy...Bourne End because the other place cock-up the booking... but LV was good as usual top place to fit us in at late notice too...

Most discussion surrounded the Hatton v Mayweather fight and yes... majority bravely ignored Angelo Dundee and went for a HAtton victory...how wrong were we..well done Hatton anyway, brave lad. Anyway Ian Lewis wins with his prediction of Mayweather in the 9th narrowly beating Tyldesley with his 8th round prediction.... so IL get the prize fund - £20...

The Balcony - Maidenhead

Everyone is really back in the swing of things these days - all building up to Xmas of course.... The White Horse at the top of the High Street had some great live music on...worth popping back in there next time... This month we were at The Balcony - on Rob's recommendation.... and we were honoured to be given the actual Balcony area to sit on... Food average to iffy - have the Venison dishes the Jalfrezi is a cracker... avoid lots/all of the other stuff... we had new members - Tom Stone and James Loader joined us... more the merrier... Johnno 'running with the bulls at Pamplona' also joined in... but both him and James did a runner before the bill came...! We must be getting famous too because we have an invite next month... over to Bourne End ... hopefully better than this place...watch this space...

Radhuni to Lemon Grass

Ok so this week we got our first complaint on the Blog... basically the guy from the Radhuni didn't like the fact I referred to his restaurant as 'trying to be up market' but hey we resolved it... basically I took the bit down. But to be honest from last month to this month we had a big drop in standards we went to the Lemon Grass - which was way below the Club average... it was generally decided that from now on the club would ignore recommendations from Ed and Gavin...
